Foodbank 2025 Appeal
As last season, GPSFA is supporting the Gloucester Foodbank’s January appeal. Last year the Foodbank supplied over 17,000 emergency parcels to people in our city alone, over a third of which were for children. The purpose of doing this is twofold: (1) It’s a really important local cause and (2) It’s important that the children appreciate how fortunate they are (even though they may not always think so) and that we can all do a little bit to help those in less good circumstances than ourselves.

The collection began yesterday at the home games v Newbury.
Any donations up until Saturday 1st February will be gratefully received.
There is a collecting box in the pavilion eating room to receive contributions at the home games on Saturday 1st Feb.
Alternatively, carrier bags with donated items can be left with the coaches on any training night.

For reference, the GFB’s most required items are:  Tinned tomatoes & vegetables (peas, carrots, sweetcorn), tinned custard/rice pudding, tinned fruit, tinned meat (corned beef, ham, Fray Bentos pies), tinned potatoes, packet pasta ‘n’ sauce, instant mash, jars of sauce, bottles of squash, toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste and nappies size 5 & 6 & baby wipes). We will deliver everything to the Foodbank the week of 3rd February.
